Food-Contact Sealing Compounds
We supply SealdTack® water-based sealing compounds from Samtack for food-contact metal packaging. These high-solids formulations help seal the joint between the can body and closure. Selected grades are designed for pasteurisation, sterilisation and hot-filling processes. Product selection considers the container contents, closure design, application and drying conditions, and the intended thermal treatment.
General Line Sealing Compounds
We supply SealdTack® water-based sealing compounds for industrial metal containers and aerosols, with grades formulated for demanding chemical-resistance requirements. Applications include packaging for paints, varnishes, oils, solvents and other technical products. Selection considers compatibility with the contents, the internal coating, closure design and service conditions.
Food-Contact Compliance & Migration Testing
Samtack’s published documentation references 21 CFR 175.300, 21 CFR 177.1210, Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 and Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 for SealdTack®. It also reports specific migration studies conducted by the University of Zaragoza, with the substances studied remaining below the applicable limits under the test conditions. Suitability for each application is confirmed against the relevant grade’s current compliance documentation and intended conditions of use.
